Online store development

A catalogue, a cart and payment by card or on delivery. The order shows up in the admin panel and you get a notification on your phone.

We work in Chișinău and across Moldova. We reply the same day.

What the shopper sees

Catalogue
Categories, filters by price and attributes, search by name.
Product page
Photos, price, description and availability. If a product is out of stock, that is clear before it goes into the cart.
Cart and checkout
Name, phone, address and delivery method. A short form that is easy to fill in on a phone.
Payment
By card on the site or on delivery. The shopper chooses.
Order status
The shopper sees that the order was accepted and handed to the courier, and does not call to ask.

What you see

The whole store is run from one admin panel.

Orders
A list with statuses: new, paid, on the way, delivered. The order page shows its full history.
Products and stock
You add products and change prices and quantities. When a product runs low, the panel shows it.
Customers
Who ordered what and for how much. Regular customers stand out at once.
Notifications
A new order reaches you as a message, so you do not have to sit in the panel all day.

You can see how it looks in the Merkato demo: place a test order there and accept it.

Card payments and delivery in Moldova

To take card payments on the site you need a contract with a bank. In Moldova, online card acquiring is offered by maib, Victoriabank and Moldindconbank. You sign the contract, we do the technical part.

Until the contract is in place, the store works with payment on delivery.

You set the delivery methods: courier in the city, post, pick-up. Each can have its own price.

How much an online store costs

From €500, about 10,000 MDL. The starting price covers the catalogue, cart, checkout and an admin panel with orders and stock. The price depends on:

  • the number of products and categories
  • card payment on the site
  • filters by product attributes
  • a third language
  • data exchange with warehouse or accounting software

On a site builder a store costs less at the start, but you pay for it every month. More on the website builder or custom website page.

How the work goes

A store takes four weeks or more: the timeline depends on the size of the catalogue and the payment methods.

  1. Intro call

We talk, figure out the task and give you a timeline and a price.

  2. Structure

We decide which pages there will be and what they say.

  3. Design

We show you the layout for phone and desktop and make your changes.

  4. Build

We write the code, set up where enquiries go and prepare the site for Google.

  5. Handover and payment

You check the site and we move it to your domain. You pay after handover.

You pay only after this step

Online store demo

Merkato is a practice store with made-up products. The demo opens its admin panel: orders, products, customers.

What a purchase looks like from the client’s side is shown on the home page, in the How it will work for you section.

As many as you need. There is no limit, and you add products yourself in the admin panel.

Yes. The store can take orders with payment on delivery, and we connect card payments once you have a contract with a bank.

You or a member of your staff. In the panel a product has a name, price, photos and stock. We show you how it works.
